Wednesday Wellness: Small Joys in Slow Days

The forest was quiet except for the soft drip of yesterday’s rain falling from the leaves.

Delfino sat near a puddle, tracing circles in the water with his fin, eyes distant.

Slothy climbed down beside him, taking in the slow morning air.

Slothy: “You’re here early.”

Delfino: “Couldn’t sleep. My mind feels loud, but my body feels slow.”

Slothy: “That’s okay, you know. Not every day has to be fast.”

Delfino: “Feels like everyone else is moving, building, achieving. And I’m just... here.”

Slothy: “Existing is not ‘just’ anything. It’s enough.”

Delfino: “I know, but sometimes I feel like I’m falling behind.”

Slothy: “Behind what? A race no one can even see?”

Delfino: “It’s hard not to compare, even when I know I shouldn’t.”

Slothy: “You know that snail you watched yesterday? It moved half a leaf’s distance and still got where it needed to go.”

Delfino: (smiling faintly) “You always notice the snails.”

Slothy: “Because they remind me that life isn’t about rushing. It’s about arriving—fully.”

Delfino: “What if I don’t know where I’m going?”

Slothy: “Then it’s enough to simply be. To notice the light through the leaves, the ripple in the puddle, the softness of your own breath.”

Delfino: “I want to believe that.”

Slothy: “Let’s practice it together today. Slow doesn’t mean stuck. Slow can mean alive.”

🌟 A Message from Soulamore:

You are allowed to move slowly.

You are allowed to wake up and only manage small joys—a warm tea, a quiet breath, a single gentle moment.

Progress isn’t always loud. Growth isn’t always fast.

If you’ve been rushing, we invite you to pause, breathe, and simply be. That, too, is living.
