The monsoon breeze rustled through the trees, carrying the scent of damp earth. Delfino sat near a puddle, watching the ripples his fin made as he traced lazy circles in the water.
Slothy settled beside him, sensing the heaviness in the air.

Slothy: “You’ve been quiet all morning.”
Delfino: “I’ve been thinking about how easily things fall apart.”
Slothy: “Like what?”
Delfino: “Dreams. Plans. People. Me.”
Slothy: “It’s okay to feel that way.”
Delfino: “I read about how Rome fell. It was this grand empire that seemed unshakable, and then… it crumbled.”

Slothy: “And yet, after the fall, there was rebuilding. New cultures, new stories, new life.”
Delfino: “Sometimes I feel like I’m failing because I can’t keep myself together.”
Slothy: “Maybe it’s not failure. Maybe it’s the part of you that needs to fall so something softer can take its place.”
Delfino: “But it’s scary. To let go of what I’ve been holding together for so long.”
Slothy: “I know. Falling feels like breaking, but it’s often clearing space for something better.”

Delfino: “But what if I don’t know how to rebuild?”

Slothy: “You don’t have to know yet. Empires rise again slowly, and so will you. Piece by piece, not the same as before, but softer, truer.”
Delfino looked up, watching a bird take off into the grey sky. “You really think falling apart isn’t the end?”
Slothy: “I know it isn’t. It’s your becoming.”
🌟 A Message from Soulamore:
We live in a world that tells us we must keep it together, always. That falling apart is weakness. That cracks are failures.
But the truth is: even the strongest structures need to break to rebuild. Even empires fall. And they rise again, softer, wiser, different.
If you feel like you’re crumbling, know this: you’re not failing. You’re making space inside for something new to grow. Let yourself rest. Let yourself breathe. Let yourself not have it all together.
You don’t have to rebuild alone.
💬 If it’s too heavy to say aloud, write it into the Confession Box. 👥 Or share it softly with someone who truly listens on Our Peers.
Your fall isn’t your ending. It’s your invitation to become.
