Monday Reflections: Applied Astronomy Therapy (The Light-Year Principle)

The monsoon clouds were clearing, revealing a deep navy sky scattered with small, patient stars. Delfino lay floating near the water’s edge, eyes fixed upward, letting the quiet swallow him.

Slothy settled on a low branch above, watching the same stars.

Slothy: “You’re in your stargazing mood again.”

Delfino: “Yeah. It helps me feel small in a comforting way.”

Slothy: “You ever wonder how long that light took to get here?”

Delfino: “Years. Decades. Some of these stars died before their light even reached us.”

Slothy: “Kind of beautiful. Kind of sad.”

ree

Delfino: “It makes me think about healing. About how I get impatient with myself, wanting to ‘fix’ everything instantly. But maybe healing is like that starlight—traveling quietly, across the vastness, even when I can’t see it.”

Slothy: “Healing doesn’t need to be visible to be happening.”

Delfino: “But it’s hard, Slothy. I feel like I’m stuck because I don’t see progress. I look the same. I act the same. Some days I feel like I’ve learned nothing.”

ree

Slothy: “Maybe you’re still in your light-year journey. Maybe what you see today is the echo of old pain, while the light of your growth is still on its way.”

ree

Delfino: “But what if it never arrives?”

ree

Slothy: “It will. You don’t see the stars give up on shining just because it takes time to be

seen. You’re allowed to keep healing, even when it’s invisible.”

Delfino: “You make it sound so soft.”

Slothy: “Because it is. Healing isn’t harsh discipline. It’s quiet, patient light moving through your darkness, slowly, steadily, faithfully.”

Delfino closed his eyes, letting the night sounds blend with his thoughts. Maybe he didn’t need to rush. Maybe softness was enough for today.

🌟 A Message from Soulamore:

We live in a world that celebrates quick fixes and instant “glow-ups.” But real healing doesn’t rush. Like starlight crossing unimaginable distances to reach your eyes, your growth is moving, even if you can’t see it yet.

You don’t need to perform your progress. You don’t need to prove your healing. You’re allowed to take your time.

Healing is allowed to be quiet. It’s allowed to take light-years. It’s allowed to look like small breaths on heavy days and soft smiles in the middle of tears.

If you feel stuck, remember: you’re not failing. You’re still becoming. Softly. Quietly. Faithfully.

Whenever you need, Soulamore is here to walk with you.

💬 Share your quiet journey in the Confession Box if words feel easier to write than to speak. 👥 Or let your starlight journey be witnessed by someone who understands on Our Peers.

Overthinking shared is overthinking eased. Let your journey be seen, at your pace.
